The family-run company, which founded in 1916, is currently managed by Johannes Winklhofer, who belongs to the fourth generation of the founding family. iwis employs more than 2,000 people worldwide. In addition to its production sites in Germany (Munich, Landsberg, Wilnsdorf, Sontra, Neugablonz and Rieden), iwis also has manufacturing locations in the Czech Republic, China and the USA.
