The Koel brand was founded in 2006 under the name KOEL4Kids in the Netherlands. The founders of the brand were looking for a new and refreshing concept in children's footwear and created high quality, imaginative and flexible footwear that immediately became a hit on both the domestic and Belgian market. Today, the Koel brand is one of the leading manufacturers of barefoot footwear, which it focused on back in 2018.
