The BIOMASS fair is a very good follow-up to the traditional agricultural and forestry exhibitions TECHAGRO and SILVA REGINA. It presents possibilities of utilising biomass from fields, meadows, forests and stables, which is a logical superstructure for farmers and foresters in their day-to-day work and offers more job opportunities.

BIOMASS 2018 will primarily introduce technologies for energy use of forest and agricultural biomass, which makes it closely related to the SILVA REGINA trade fair. Visitors will get an overview of the best options of processing and using fire wood, woodchips or pellets. The lounge hosting the sideline programme is located directly adjacent to the exhibition stands and will focus mainly on energy use of timber mass. The outdoor areas around Hall Z will host demonstrations of forest biomass processing. In Hall C, visitors are awaited at the exhibition Soil - the Foundation of our Civilisation, which will also discuss the composting and supplying of organic matter to soil.
