The theme of ASITITS s.r.o. is climate change. This company is a recognized supplier of adaptation strategies, satellite data, and consultancy services in adaptation, climate change mitigation, and energy for cities, regions, and ministries. In the energy sector, ASITITS focuses on energy efficiency studies, renewable energy, and energy conservation measures for both companies and municipalities. Beyond consulting for municipalities and private entities, ASITITS experts engage in scientific research and innovation projects with partners such as Brno University of Technology, Palacký University in Olomouc, and VUMOP. Following the win of an international tender from the European Space Agency in 2022, we have developed a successful feasibility study for UpGreen technology incorporating satellite data, urban data, and artificial intelligence to manage and develop blue-green infrastructure. The demonstration sites for UpGreen were Copenhagen and Lisbon. The company is also a partner in the prestigious international VALORADA project, supported by Horizon Europe EU, a crucial funding program that supports the European Commission's missions.

Brněnské vodárny a kanalizace, a.s. develops its business in a number of fields but production and supply of water through public water supply mains and collection of wastewater wand storm water through public sewers, including their treatment, is its core business. The company keeps ranking amongst the best and most efficient Czech water utilities. The indicators proving this fact are mainly the following: water losses in the network, wastewater treatment plant performance, application of modern diagnostic methods and no-dig technologies and the number of accredited and certified operations.

H.L.F. spol. s r.o. is a traditional Czech company that has been active in the of automotive and electrical engineering industries since 1996. We manufacture switches, transfer switches, pushbuttons, connectors, cable harnesses, lamp sockets and pilot lamps. Our combination of technologies including metal pressing, metal machining, plastic pressing, assembly, and tool shop services allows us to maintain a very efficient and flexible approach to our customers’ requirements, both in large-series and small-series orders, and to guarantee that our products are technically advanced and of high quality. In response to the situation during the anti-pandemic measures, we decided to invest in the development of a new product - a modular construction system. We developed (2021 - 2023) a new poduct CUBSY - modular kit system. And so, since 2024, we are ready to reach out and satisfy our customers and, of course, continue to improve and innovate CUBSY.

These solutions include TREEIB, set of tools for watering mature trees, strongly impacting ecosystem services production of trees in cities. Our story began with weaving willow fencing and creating living willow structures, fostering a deep connection to nature. The need for efficient watering of willows in drought periods led us to deploy watering bags we spot abroad. We become a Treegator watering bags distributor. Introducing these innovative products to Central Europe has transformed tree planting practices, saving hundreds of thousands of trees. Building on our success, we recognized the significance of supporting mature trees in urban environments. This mind shift culminated in the creation of TREEIB, a patented solution for watering mature trees in settlements. Urban Tree Offset Initiative z.s.

The non-profit organization Urban Tree Offset Initiative, z.s. was founded in 2023 to mitigate and adapt to climate change. The NGO runs a carbon offseting program based on nature-based solution, that works primarily with trees in settlements already growing there. A pilot project has been carried out on eight urban trees in Brno and will be presented for the first time at URBIS The Smart Cities Meetup. Visit booth #6 and find out how you can turn the trees in your city into a financial asset and sequester additional carbon from the atmosphere. VISION: Every tree, especially those in urban areas, serves to maximize climate change mitigation and adaptation. This means that the tree becomes an asset, not a liability. MISSION: - Maximize the ecosystem services of carefully selected trees while maintaining their safety. - Implement measures that can achieve these goals. - Optimize these measures to make the most efficient use of resources and leave the lowest carbon footprint. - Find the financial resources to implement such measures. - Initiate and conduct research on measures that lead to the maximization of tree ecosystem services. - Initiate the implementation of urban forestry innovations into practice.
